I don't know why but those lariats with the quick release honda always seem to be cheap, and those hondas always break loose, happened to me yesterday when the vet was out doing a herd check I had a small heifer leap through the air and get caught up high in my home made head gate. We had to use one of those to lift up her hind end and get her hips out and the honda kept busting loose. I went and bought a nice softer calf type rope so I could actually toss it at some calfs in the pen that are too small to get caught in the head gate, the guick release ropes are just too crapy and stiff to toss unless you are some kind of expert at it.
