Hey Stu, where are you in BC? I'm always ammazed how far I can go in a peat / black field that has been sod or brush for a number of years. Then after working it a bit - look out, you can go straight down. I was brushing hard hack in the middle of summer a couple years ago. Everthing was great. The brush was so tall I couldn't see out of the cab on my Massey 1085. I was actually backing through the 3 acre piece - no problem when all of a sudden the back went down, the brush cutter kept me from going in too far - burried the axels. Turns out there was a dugout for cattle from about 50 years ago - all over grown. Needles to say I met the neighbors that night. Anyway, if you can get duals that would be great. I have a tendancy to like fluid or weight of some kind in my tires. I drained my smaller Massey 165 but it just can't pull as well as before - which is OK because we have bigger tractors for the heavier stuff now. If it was me, I would leave it the way it is with fliud - but I now have an excavator to pull myself out. Maybe look for tire weights and duals. Good luck, I don't even know if any body will read this thread - it's so far back. Grant

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
