I have a 1984 Case Ingersoll garden tractor with bucket, 648 with an B48M Onan engine. I have an oil leak that I can not figure out what the cause of it is. The leak is a little steady stream just above what appears to be the oil sending unit, which is above the starter and oil filter. It only happens when the engine is running. This setup is so hard to work on. I"ve spent many weeks diassembling sheilds and other parts trying to get to the cause. I am not there yet, so I thought I"d post a message. ( It"s like going through the tail pipe of your car to change the front left turn signal.) I power washed the thing to clean up the oil, and now I have a dead short too; engine won"t even turn over. People around here don"t work on, or want to look at an Onan engine. Hopefully, someone can help. Thanks
