Hugh , that does not work . A few years back i bought a 806 D off a guy in western Indiania that was his dads so it was a one owner and still in org. paint with 4300 hours , brought it home and started fixen all the littel stuff that had been let go over the years and spent three days cleaning it up added a super nice paint job and a new seat as this one was going to be a keeper had several people ask about it and told them that this one was MY tractor to farm with . While i was working on a carb for a M one cold overcast fall day i had it setting outside the shop i heard someone pull in and was thinking now who is this as i did not reconize the truck . This guy walks in that i had never seen before and he asked about the 806 setting outside i told him that is not for sale well he kept asken about the price on it kept tellen him that it was not for sale but he would not take no for and answer sooooo i layed a price on him that i figured would put the vapor lock on him at 8750 as you could buy a 806 anywhere for 4500-5500 , all he could say wa OH ok and turned around and walked out the door all the while i was chucklen to myself thinking how i took the wind out of his sails and went back to work . About 20-30 min. later i hear another car pull in and here he comes again this time with his old lady he just asked how i wanted the check made out . That taught me a lesson that it seams that if i want to keep a tractor for myself DON'T clean it up Don't paint it and never put a price on it and let everybody know that it is PLUM JUNK . After the one spring of going thru 9 tractors while tryen to get my field work done with people litterly buying them out from under my donkey i was hiding them during the day from sight from the road and people were tracking me down in the field . one field took three tractors to get it plowed .
