Red Clover makes very good hay as good as Alfalfa. It must be very dry though when you bale it or it will mold I round baled some one time and a few of the bales had a core that was like a hunk of charcold and my Dairy Cows would chew on them until they were gone. Red Clover dust will eat you alive though after you bale it you will be ready for a shower.
