I haven't ever really been in the "in-crowd", but I'm happy with the friends I have - in-person and online. But that doesn't affect when I post or not. I usually only answer if I have firsthand knowledge of the topic. A lot of times I see answers I either THINK are wrong or KNOW are wrong, but I'm not interested in wasting time in a flame war. Usually, if you post a clear question with enough info to go on, you'll always get an answer or two. Not everyone is going to have an answer and those that do are less likely to waste time answering if it is not clear what the questioner is asking. Don't give up, yet... Howard H.

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
