Yes a 1000 rpm chopper I feel would have to be run at 1000 rpm or you would lose ervything - howevere - I do have a 1000 to 540 rpm converter that I click on the end of the shaft - then hook my 540 wagons on it and run the tractor very slowly to unload the 540 pto wagons - then hook back up the chopper and take the converter off....
