Early spring. My yard and the area around the barns is between 3 & 4 acres. I have a 15 gal. sprayer with a 6 ft. boom that I use on my yard tractor. Since your weeds are getting big you will probably have to use a higher rate. If you have centipede grass you can not use a high rate,thats why you want to spray early. I don't know where you live,but where I live from March 1 to April 1 is the best time if the weather is right. If you have clover to get rid of, 2,4-D won't do it. You will need something like Banvel. Don't overspray or mix your rate to high,this will only burn the top of the weed off and it will come back.
