The modules here in SE TX are made directly on the ground. Some use a stripper builder which is taller than a picker builder. We average about 12.5 bales (1400#/bale) in the picker builder and about 14 in the big builder. If conditions are right and you really stomp the thing over 20 bales can be put in a big builder. They are loaded by a set of chains in the bed of the truck that are geared to the same speed forward as the rearward motion of the truck using a PTO run off an auxillary transmission.
