was mowing yesterday, always take a pass down the neighbors drive, about 1/4 mile long, he lives in town, nobody lives at the homestead any more, and it makes the place looked lived in. he happened to be there with his son putting the planter away so i stopped for a visit. his big allis 7000 series was parked with the duals off, he was telling me, yup, blew the motor on the allis, dropped a valve, wiped out a new turbo, gonna run about 8000.00 to put her together. had it on the v ripper when she come apart. he bought another allis at a sale for 7000.00 to get finished up. then he was disking corn stalks with his 4020 deere ahead of the planter, the rear end let go on that one. and... the hydro on his lawn mower decided to give up the ghost. geeze, talk about a bad spring!!!
