The 8N I bought had a non-functioning generator and regulator, so some previous owner removed or relocated associated wiring and ran directly off the battery (duh). I had the generator rebuilt and put in a new regulator, and am now trying to sort out the wiring according to a schematic I have. The schematic shows a wire coming from the coil to one post on the terminal block, then from there to an ignition lock ( I believe that's in the transmission?), from the ignition lock back to the other post on the terminal block where other wires tie in. But I can't find any wiring from an ignition lock - not sure I even have it. So can I just connect the wire coming from the coil directly to the post on the terminal block that contains the other wires?
