Father In Law has a 4020 side console LP. If it's your intention to convert it to Diesel, you pry should pass. We looked into converting it to diesel a couple years back and the cheapest engine we could find was around $3500. You'd have 12K in the tractor assuming you did all the work and you didn't find other problems. That's about fair for a 4020 Diesel console. On the other hand, if you can stand LP, it would make a good load hauler. FIL claims his tractor is very easy on fuel on the spreader but would burn a tank fast plowing or chopping. I've driven it and hate that tank sitting way up high out front but otherwise don't mind the tractor. Good luck whichever way you go.
