Went to a truck and tractor tire shop today and bought two new calcium stem adapters for my old tractor's tubes. Got home and took the old ones off and they are a different type. The newer type I bought is a bigger diameter and has a male thread on it that threads into the inside of the tube stems on newer stuff. This older style I have here is smaller in diameter and it has a female thread on it that threads over the male threads on the tube stem. Went back to the tire shop and the fella there said he'd been in the business 15 years and never seen anything like I have. He told me that he guesses it's an old, old style that isn't used any more. Problem is of course I don't want to change tubes. I don't really need the calcium stems since there is no fluid in the tires, but I do need to adapt this male threaded stem that the tubes have now to something that I can use. Anybody know where I might pick something like that up?
