Digging post-holes.

Hello!
I have recently purchased a Leinbach 9" posthole digger and am having some difficulty in getting nice straight holes dug. The 'handle bar' seems to be either too flimsy ( 1/2" steel tubeing) or improperly positioned as it is difficult to reach. I have succeded in tweaking both ends of the bar. Any suggestions or instructions on proper placement would be great. Thanks!!
