If the shifting in the 886 is setup like the 986, I hate it. We rent a 986 from a local company once ion a great while if we need another one with more HP to run a bagger, but I"m partial to Oliver's (Whites too, even thoguh they're not the prettiest colors) We've got a 1855 and it's a very solid runner. gets the occasional leak in a hose, but that's normal on a 30 year old tractor. The 2-85 is about the same rear end, and just a different engine (slightly less HP- closer to a 1755) and sheet metal around it. I'd go with the White. You know and get along with the guy and if he can have it ready by Saturday, try and keep him to his word. Donovan from Wisconsin
