First, I know little about the B. If you pull up "Tune-Up Specs" in the Research & Info column on the left of the page it may help. Following the link, my conclusion is that timing is set 1-4 degrees from TDC. Maybe you could temporarily mark this area with paint and time it. How you time it I do not know, it might be static timing or may be done with a timing light. If you do not have a manual that tells how to do this, you should get one. People on this forum bend over backwards to help others but are not very patient with those who do not access a manual. After a while we come to understand why. The manual answers questions we normally would not think to ask. My other suggestion is that posting on the "Farmall IH" page might be a better place to get what you want. You asked very courteously for help, welcome aboard and keep the questions coming.
