That makes sense. When I was about 7 yrs old one of the neighbors planted about 20 acres of Mung beans. He hired me to go through the field and chop out the weeds. I think he paid me about $30 and I thought I was rich!! Anyway I remember that he used a swather with a belt in the header instead of an auger and no crimper to cut them. Then I think he used a bean header on the combine using the pickup reel to get as much up as he could. He only planted them that one year.
