Hi folks, Sorry so off topic, but I need some advice. I was driving a country road last weekend, when some young man (a minor) pulled out in front of me. I had to really get on the brake pedal of my F250 to prevent hitting him. He had been shopping at the roadside fireworks stand, and when he accelerated away from me, he showered my truck with mud and rocks and cracked my windshield. Its a small starburst crack right in the driver's field of view. I chased the young man down at the next stop and told him that he had cracked my windshield and to pull over. I obviously scared him quit a bit as he was on the phone with his parent, but he was polite and gave me his insurance info. I called Geico, his insurance company, and opened a claim ticket, but they called today and denied my claim. I'm not sure what to do. I have a good sized discount on my Farm Bureau policy because of no claims (as well as a $500 deductable). I'm guessing that it'll probably run $300 to replace the glass, and I'm guessing no one will fix it since its in the field of view. Any ideas? -stephen

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
