We flush with water after every spray and have a separate sprayer for weed control. That way we don't inadvertantly kill a plant. At the end of the season we run some 50/50 antifreeze through the entire sprayer to make sure nothing freezes. On older sprayers we might run some used motor oil through them too. This helps fight corrosion on the old piston pumps and carbon steel tips.
