Would one of those buried Dog Retainers work? My self,My dad and my Grand Dad have all over the years sat up with a 410 Shotgun at night and the problem soon goes away quickly. Pick a good Moon night and keep a watch for a moving shadow. Living in MO. and out in the country as you do, don't you have a good Coon Dog? We have an 11 year old Yellow Lab who falls in love with every one and anything so she is not much good at Guarding but our I/2 Pug,1/2 ChiHooHoo[as Barney used to say] is on top of every sound and smell that floats around and is ready to fight anything no matter the size. Get a good Dog,Train him to hate coons and maybe the problem solved.Sweet Corn time is near if not already there.What do you do about them in the Corn? This is MHO
