I have a Case 2590. Recently, hydraulic fluid has been leaking out of the dipstick hole at the back of the tractor. I"m talking about a constant running and if you pull the dipstick out, it pretty much pours out. I changed the filters and it"s still leaking. Could it be that the 2 o-rings that seal the dipstick are worn enough for this to happen? It"s almost like it"s under a little pressure. Will new o-rings contain some pressure? I"m sure hoping that it"s nothing bad/expensive to fix. Any ideas what I should try to remedy this? The hydraulic system seems to work ok otherwise. Good brakes, good steering, good shifting, no problem lifting plow, etc. Sure don"t want to take it to a mechanic unless absolutely necessary. Awfully big tractor to haul and the mechanics around here want an arm and a leg to work on anything. Please help if you can.
