I passed the local church where 7 or 8 16 year old strapping kids were playing basketball. I stopped and offered 10 bucks an hour to help me with the hay. They told me it was way to hot to work, but sweat was pouring off them from playing ball in 90 degree heat. I made all my running around money helping the neighbors when I was a teenager. I dug polstholes, grubbed thistles.chopped tobacco and anything else there was to do. I also payed close attention to what the old men were doing and talking about. It is a different time my friend.
