Chris. I think that is good mileage per gallon in real world situation. You have a good engine and torque and you are not killing the machine by overload. My little toyo(old one 4cyl) can do like a trooper for a little while but is not designed for the real deal. There are trucks and there are dogs and a dashhund is just fine if you don't need a husky.
