I'm running Amsoil 10w30 or 10w40 in a D-10,12,2-14's, and a 15(II). Never have had a problem. One thing on all of the A-C engines that have the older style oil filter, stay away from the paper elements, they don't give any back pressure to the oil, so you'll end up with NO oil pressure if you use them. Also check the filter mounting boss and its cork gasket-this is a frequent area for leaks. Its better to cut a new cork gasket than to over torque the old one in hopes of stopping a leak!
