Yes it will work unless yours has a roller cam which I dought it does. Worked on 2.3's for years. Absolutely change the cam followers with the cam or you will be doing it again in short order. Here are some pointers on how to. There is a mark on the cam gear turn the engine over untill this is lined up with the pointer. There should be a mark on the dist/fuelpump drive. Make a note of its position. loosen the two bolts on the tightner. one bolt takes a 17mm the other 13mm. Use a pry bar to back the tightner off and tighten the 13mm bolt to hold in this possition. At the back off the cam is two phillip headed screws that hold the cam retainer. Remove these and the retainer. remove the cam followers and slide the cam out the front. Slide in the new cam, replace the cam seal and reverse proceedure. Just make sure the crank, dist drive and cam are in the correct possition when putting the belt back on. When the belt is on, loosen the 13mm bolt on the belt tightner hand crank the engine a few rotations and tighten both bolts back down. This sets the correct tension. Finish reassembly see if it starts and retime it. Should be good to go.
