We make an electric over hydraulic unit that does not require an in cab controller, It's called Trailerhawk, it's especially great if you pull the trailer with several different vehicles, the controller plugs into the cigarette lighter if you need to adjust the brakes, it's all done through existing taillight wiring and needs no special wiring, the cost of the unit is around $695.00. Call Claude Mixon at Trux Trailer & Tractor, Inc. at 800-213-6695 here in Springfield, MO, Claude is the inventor and engineer on the project and a great person to talk with.
