I guess dad has 1700 bales written down of the 1st crop- we almost made 1200 of 2nd, but we also chopped a little bit the last 2 weeks as it was cut just to feed the girls something other than dry 1st crop- they were getting mad at us and the milk dropped off like a stone when the corn was gone. Got it back up considerably with some nice 2nd. We even had 2-3 less acres of 2nd to cut as well, so all in all I think if we had baled it all again, we probably would have had a good 1700 bales again. Never in my short life have i seen 2nd crop come out that nice!! Didn't mean to salt that wound, but ya gotta brag about these things... Donovan from Wisconsin
