Check the valve clearance every few hundred hours. If they are consistently closing, you might need to add harder valves and seats. Though a tractor engine should have been built with them anyway. I'm not sure the "lead additives" on the market actually add lead or add something that raises octane like lead. Which, its interesting to know, 10% ethanol does the same as the normal drops of tetraethyl lead. Gerald J.
