I can vouch for the quality of the event. The grounds are among large trees, with lots of shade (it can actually get hot in August in Washington). Timing (Wednesday through Saturday) may seem peculiar, but Lynden is a stronghold of the Dutch Reform Church, and those folks don't do anything "worldly" from sunset Saturday on through Sunday. My point being, don't just figure on coming on Saturday, because everything is winding down and buttoning up. Friday is always a good day. In addition to tractors, there are cars, trucks, steam engines, one-lungers, a big steam sawmill, smaller sawmill and thresher on belts, big tractor pull, "parade of tractors" with commentator, etc. It's well worth seeing, and if I didn't have my annual "family campout" this weekend, I'd be there.
