I'm sure there are lots of people out there who know better than I do, but maybe this will help until a better answer comes along. A guy had one of each at our local fair this summer, and had a printed story to go along with them. I think they were model A's, but I'm not sure. Cletrac sold the General line to Avery and then Avery sold out to Minnie-Mo (I think), The tractor remained the same I believe. He had dates and a lot more detail which I forgot, but that's the overview. They're your tractors and you can paint them purple if you like, but since they're rare, you might be sorry later if you cross paint vs. serial #. Either way, you got a sweet deal.
