I prefer the Dodge for the simple reason of the Cummins engine. My brother has a 98 5-speed and an 06 6-speed. The 98 will do 20mpg easily, sometimes as high as 24, and will pull a 25' trailer loaded with hay on a short haul and still make 17mpg. The 06 has been averaging around 17mpg so far, but it is long from being broke-in. If you like the Ford, but want a Cummins... check out fordcummins.com
