I don't remember going to the plowing matches since I was in the 2nd grade but my Dad spent all day there, every day that the show was in progress. In fact some of the pictures that he took have been incorporated into the DVD, which I have a copy of. And yes, there were 450,000 + - people that attended. According to the DVD lots of them were put up in area homes but some stayed in hotels as far away as Columbus and Cincinnati. There is going to be a banquet on Friday night 8/17 in Peebles but I think tickets are already sold out for that. Also on Saturday 8/18 at the Peebles High School will be displays, demonstrations, and some tractors of the era including my '49 Farmall H. The phone number I have for more information is (937) 587-2043
