I do this regularly. The lawn and garden batteries that we are forced to use due to space issues last about two years around here. My old man came up with a great solution. He bungeed a car battery to the running board and it lasted nearly six years. The mower died before that battery did. Starter and battery setup was pulled and used on the neighbors for a few years after that. HTH Aaron

Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
