O.T. crabs

I live in Maryland. We are in a moderate to severe drought right now according to whoever makes that call. I think we are 4 1/2 inches below normal rainfall. Anyhow I heard on the news this morning that the crab harvest isn't going to be good this year...The cause, lack of rain. They said the water is too salty now. Now come on, I don't know anything about crabs, the salt content of the chesapeake bay or anything else but it's hard for me to figure out how a bay that is up to over a mile wide in places, and deep enough (a couple hundred feet) to have HUGE ships come up it to unload, how can a 4 1/2 inches defeceit have that much impact. sounds to me somebody wants to make more money off their crabs...I might be all wet on this or in this case salty...bahahaha
