I have used Castrol in one shape or form as long as I can remember(Back in the 40's and 50's.) I used Shell in my airplanes because thats what was sold at the airport where I kept my planes. I used castrol in outboards(2cycle), inboards (Mercruisers) motorcycles, and trucks and cars. Some of these vehicles went over 150000 miles back then, never had an engine problem on the inside. I switched to Syntec when it came out and use it in everything yet today. I dont know any other reason to use it other than I had been trouble free for over 60 years..Syntec I change only at 8-10 thousand intervals.
