No doubt that we're in a drouth, but it's not nearly as bad as '88. Chopped 2 1/2 silage boxes haylage off of 40 acres, chopped our usual 600 tons corn silage from 104 acres, instead of 30-40. But, yeah- it's more than dry. Too much rain is always better than too little. Mud will grow weeds, and cows can eat weeds, but they can't eat dust. We've had both extremes over the last 35 years, and I'll take excess rain anyday.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
