My son bought a new Chevy suburban las year mand took it into the dealer and asked if he should run synthetic oil and they refered him to the service book which recommendeed it. They prefer synthetic oil because of its superior lubricity. I have been using synthetic since Syntec came on the market. Wew have presently 4 cars and trucks running on Syntec all with over 150,000 miles and the truck Ford 351 has ove 250,00 miles. Lots of transmission problems but never once burned a drop of oil. Chevy recommends oil changes at extended mileage(7000) comes to mind but I amm not positive and we normally run our engines 10000 miles between oil changes. Amsol makes several grades of synthetics one thats called lifetime and you never need to change oil. They also make 35000 and I think 65000 oil. Amsol is sold on a pyramid type organization and require an expensive motor flush to change to Amsol. I would stick with Syntec or Mobil one could be another or now Shell has one out. All meet manunfacturers warranty requirements.

The main focus of this page is to show how I upgr
