I don't remember where I heard or read it, but I recall something about baking them in the oven at 300 or 350 degrees for 15 minutes or something. Seems like I read it in a hot rod magazine, somebody wanted to paint all the bolts to match the engine and was asking how to keep them from chipping when he assembled it. Never tried it myself.
