Many of the older tractors (eg. 40's) on 6V used a combination switch which was a 3 position device which gave you some basic control over generator output into your electrical system, and also was used (in the full out position)to operate the tractors lights. I've had several of these apart and I understand the mechanics and how they work (I think), however I have some questions. 1. From 'remnants' of the resistor which is built into these, I think they offer about 3 ohms of resistance. Am I correct or close? 2. Can you buy those resistor windings anywhere these days? 3. Does anyone still supply the whole switch assembly as aftermarket or even NOS? If you know anything about these little rascals, let me know on YT FORUM or at my email: mballash@wci.ab.ca Thanks, Mike
