Jonathan Are you comparing tractors that are both diesel? The 4030 has a 329 Cu. In. engine and developes maximum 80.33 horsepower on 5.62 gallons of diesel fuel. 4430 has 404 cubic inches and developes 125.88 horsepower on 8.09 gallons per hour. These figures are from Nebraska tests numbers 1110 and 1111. These tractors are not in the same power category. A typical 80 horsepower gas tractor at max power will burn about 7.5 gallons per hour under full load... Gene
