If the tractor in the picture is like mine, the air intake is under the hood. Mine has a plastic breather tube which is routed over the top of the radiator. I guess the engineers thought the front grill would filter out some of the big stuff. I always try to keep the grill clean because I figure if it is plugged the only place for intake air is backwards through the radiator. I bet that makes it hard for the ole gal to breathe.
