not every one that had a comment. i was only refering to posts like "i have a brand x vehicle that, although it's not comparable in any way shape or form, would pull the rhetorical @$$-o- out of the world" that would be like me saying that my 68 slant six, because of it's low end, would be better than the 4.8 for towing. well, not so much. but if you would like to have a discussion about how your little ford v6 ( my dad has the same engine in his f150) can compare with a v8 of around 288ci, that breathes better and has more peak torque, fine. all of dodges current power plants, with the exception of the cummins and the calibers l4 (developed in partnership with several international firms) have come from the auburn hills (chrysler) development and technology centers. and, since walter p. schemed an elaborate merger/takeover of dodge brothers in 1928, all dodge products ARE chrysler products. like a 4.8l chevy v8 is a gm product.
