My brother had one, so did our neighbor. I put a self excited alternator on it to cure an electrical charging problem. Shifter linkage wears with lotsa hours, tough to change gears. There is no engine braking in low multi power, it can get exciting cresting a hill with a full chopper box. The hydraulic system uses two pumps in series, it can weak with wear and you have slow or useless hydraulics. The hydraulic lines just in fornt of the radiator can crack at the flares, if you are careful and slow they can be successfully brazed. The steering knuckles will bicenter and lock hard port or starboard. The steering wheel is attached to a gearmotor, if it leaks you will have to continually crank in compensation going down a high crown road. If the engine stalls there are no brakes, not just boost, but NO BRAKES. Don't stall out between gears going up hill. Don't put your foot on the brake and then fire the engine, the boost coming up will launch your foot over your shoulder. To test out your rig to be: -mount a full size plow and go to it. If it will plow the hydraulics are ok. -will it start when its cold 25-30 without heat or ether -crank steering full left and right, will it recover? -does differential lock work? the 1968 did not have diff lock... do not engage lock if one wheel is spining. The 1100 is a dynamite tractor, just be sure it is not wore out.
