Good call. There is something to that, but I can`t remember what. I know if you hook a ford up to a trailer wired for a chev, you have to either get the right adapter or switch a couple wires around, I had no clue what was going on on one gooseneck I was hooked to til a friend pointed that out. Wish my memory was better, or I had written it down. On a truck that new, you could be right on the money as far a the computer not recognizing whats going on. I`d take the truck and trailer by the dealer and explain to them what`s going on. They may even have a calibration reflash, or the right wiring schematic to correct the problem. Good Luck BW
