The last three trucks that I bought had a special note in the owners manual package about slide-in campers. They all were 3/4 Ton Diesel Heavy-duty trucks, all 4x4 and all said that they were not recommended for slide-in campers---presumeably because of their higher center of gravity. In spite of this, we did use a couple of them to haul an 8' camper with bed over cab with no particular problem. But I can see how a larger one might be a bit dicey.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
