kyplowboy, I am here to tell you it is one neat thing to see done, The first time he tried it was on a 87 F-250 SC 4x4, old 6.9, 5 speed with 4;10s. The deal was Fords old transfer case shift pattern it was a block C with a forward motion of the top part of the C pattern. The new style pattern is a straight I pattern, Just shove the shifter from the bottom to the top of the pattern, one straight fluid motion. Anyway I use to set out and take down electric fence on wheat pasture with my ol 3/4Ton, 4x4, in low lock, hubs in "Free" Then just put the 4 speed in granny low, and step in and out of the pickup, or tie the steering wheel of with a bunge strap and just let the pickup just drive itself along while i worked on the fence. You will get along just fine, you can let a youngun steer for you too. Anyway Hope this helps! Later, John A.
