I have locked in a price with AllService Propane in Franklin, TN for 1000 gallons at $1.99 per gallon. I own my own tank so I shop around each year for the best price. Amerigas is asking $2.25 per gallon. A couple of other local suppliers are offering it for around $2.10 per gallon. AllService comes out at least once a month to top off the tank and will come within one day if I call and ask them to make a separate trip.
I don't know why propane is so much more expensive in my area than it is in most of the midwest, but each year we pay more than you guys do.
