The difference in the engine is 45 has 1/2" longer stroke, more compression, and "power crater" pistons. All 45 blocks do not have the large bolt on side cover and the serial no. of the ingine will have a "45" in it. All 45s had curved shift levers. 45s have 43 hp, WDs 34.6. Later WDs had the curved shift lever. 45s also had a wider rim and larger size rear tire too. There are many other small differences that can be found by studying the parts book but these are the major ones, the main one being the engine which makes almost 25% more hp.
