Thanks for the encouragement. You are right about doing what I feel is right. I brought home my hayride cart this afternoon from the farm where we give hayrides at our show. I am going to invite the whole family for a ride around the neighborhood and my yard just to get to know them better. The oldest girl is 10 or so and I bet she can act as an interpreter as we need. I will just have to get a couple ground rules across to them that they can only be in the yard if they see us and ask first.etc. Thanks for the encouragement guys. I HATE feeling that I cannot make friends with childern these days. I have such good memories of visiting older neighbors when I was growing up and would like to pass that down to the next generation. Not the fearmongering that the media pushes nowdays.
