Doesn't surprise me one one bit. I had an old lady that lived out back of my place. She and her brother would sit on the porch and watch me work my a$$ off all spring in my garden and small orchard....never offer to lend a hand. But sure as the crops got ripe..here they'd come begging. now, I don't mind sharing some of the bounty, but at least allow me to offer it first! One day she comes asking for blackberries....I have about 75 feet of thornless BB set out. I said...sure, pick some. Note the word SOME. So help me, they stripped the vines! Needless to say....she never got any more. Parasites are wherever you find them and being what they are....they are greedy. last year, my peach trees were loaded and I have one that is my favorite....came in one evening and it was stripped to the bone.
Nothing is beyond the imagination concerning these bottom feeders!
